RODE Broadcaster Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone
Like its name suggests, the RDE Broadcaster Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone was specifically designed ON-AIR applications where wide frequency response and low distortion are demanded. Winner of the Radio World/US National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Whats Cool award in 1998, the Broadcaster has become an industry standard when studio sound quality is required for on air applications. Utilizing an Australian designed and manufactured RDE 1 externally biased condenser transducers, the Broadcaster features a switch-able high pass filter to remove low frequency rumble. A unique ON-AIR LED indicator can be switched on or off by shorting contacts on the 5 pin audio connector. This feature allows console operators to warn the Talent that the mic is live. Key Features Large Diaphragm Condenser The microphone features a 1" gold sputtered transducer, yielding a 20Hz - 20kHz frequency response and SPL rating of 135dB resulting in optimum sound reproduction. Cardioid Polar Pattern The cardioid pattern isolates source signal for greater gain before feed-back. Internal Pop-Filter The capsule features an internal pop-filter reduces noise and "plosives" Shock-Mounted Capsule The capsule is internally shock mounted further reducing noise and protecting the capsule from damage. |
